There’s been plenty of chat recently within the online casino community about the Jumpman Gaming Limited platform. They have launched well over 80 different sites specializing in casino games with a big emphasis on slots and to a lesser extent, bingo. Big Rock Slots casino is one of these sites.

Players who have visited a few of their other sites will struggle to see any significant differences between Big Rock Slots online casino and many of the others, because the offering is almost identical. So in this sense, it’s a little bit like a franchise who have all the same products, ideals and rules but just change a couple of small things here and there for the hell of it.

Jumpman Gaming have been around since 2009, while Big Rock Slots casino have been in operation since 2015. All of the white-label brands they own, including this one, are run under the UK Gambling Commission Licence, as well as the Isle of Man one.

Overview of Our Experiences

Owning the UK Gambling licence is the first step towards gaining our trust. It’s the licence that is arguably the hardest to get hold of and by the same token, the one that’s easiest to lose if you’re not acting in a fair, ethical and transparent way. We do not really have any issues as such with the honestly levels after having completed our Big Rock Slots review, but we do have a few bones to pick with them in other areas.

If all you want out of an online casino is to just deposit your money, play loads of online slots, Jackpot slots, the odd table game and a game of Bingo once in a blue moon without caring about all the other stuff, then this site might just about be ok.

Especially when they work with software providers such as NetEnt, Quickspin, NextGen, Microgaming, iSoftbet and Elk Studios, among others. There’s certainly no shortage of casino games here and though the emphasis is very much on slots at the expense of other stuff like Live Casino for example, common sense would dictate that if there’s one type of game you’re really going to go to town on, it makes sense that it’s slots.

We have mentioned the license – the UK one means they can have UK customers play with them and the Isle of Man one means they can accept customers from countries outside the UK. In addition, a scroll down to the bottom of their homepage suggests they work with other very reputable partners in various aspects of their business: payment suppliers, software providers, responsible gambling organisations so on. That’s fine too but then again it’s not their partners we have take issue with but rather, some of their policies.

Big Rock Slots: Scam or Not?

So, let’s get stuck into what we’re not completely happy about. First of all, there was their dormancy/inactivity policy that clearly stated that if your account was dormant for 180 days, customers would receive an e-mail of warning before all funds were removed and (legally?) held by the company. Temporarily, until further notice, permanently? Who knows?

Can you imagine if Amazon or Paypal or someone else adopted that policy if you as a customer were inactive for a while and the outcry it would cause? Why should it be any different just because you are a Casino? There’s absolutely no justification for doing that other than it being an aggressive and unnecessary tactic to keep players regularly betting.

Moreover, in a way it makes a mockery of having the GamSTOP logo on Big Rock Slots’ site. On the one hand, they are promoting responsible gambling, on the other they are forcing you to bet in order to stop you from having your funds removed. It makes no sense.

Thankfully, they seemed to have abandoned it after the CMA (Competition and Markets Authority) saw what they were up to and received numerous complaints just over a year ago. Nevertheless, why did they have it in place in the first place?

And while we’re at it, we also weren’t too keen on an extremely low maximum daily withdrawal amount (1000GBP/EUR). Again, they changed that based on complaints back in 2018 but why did it have to come to that?

Other areas of concern: their withholding of funds won on Progressive Jackpots, their wagering requirements on bonuses and last but not least, vague info regarding whether some of their sister sites can get in touch with you should you choose to self-exclude. We will cover some of these in greater detail throughout the review. Is it a Big Rock Slots scam? Decide for yourself.

Overview of the Offers from Big Rock Slots

The clue is in the name so it is no surprise that they’re all about the online slots. Close to 300 the last time we checked and over 40 coming into the category of Jackpot slots. Thee are a few table games on offer just for the hell of it so if you want a big variety of those, you will have to go elsewhere.

Then there are four types of Bingo games available to play for those who enjoy the edge-of-the-seat experience of waiting for your missing numbers to be called out in what is surely one of the oldest forms of online gambling.

Let’s talk slots. For all their faults, which we have just mentioned, it’s not here that they’ve let themselves down. NetEnt, Quickspin, NextGen, Microgaming, iSoftbet and Elk Studios are all there as we have said already but so are NYX Gaming, Pariplay, IWG and a few other lesser-known ones.

If you have not yet discovered them, give Elk Studios slots a go. Sam on the Beach, Electric Sam, Wild Toro and Taco Brothers ae great slots with bonus features such as Walking Wilds with beautiful graphics and some pretty engaging storylines. Give them a go by all means or turn to classics such as Starburst, Rainbow Riches, Dead or Alive or Ted. Big Rock Slots does not have any live casino section, which is a clear disadvantage, if you like playing live dealer games.

Big Rock Slots Bonus: Check Out the Offer

If the main objective of Big Rock Slots casino when it came to offering a welcome bonus was to offer something completely different to what everyone else with top casino bonuses is offering, they certainly achieved that. You do not get a deposit bonus or free spins when you deposit but rather a spin on their Mega Reel, a sort of Wheel of Fortune.

A quick read of the texts accompanying the offer tell you that landing on a winning box can give you anything from free spins to Amazon vouchers and other quirky prizes, although you could also get nothing at all.

I suppose you can argue that at least getting an Amazon voucher means you can buy something whereas a lot of welcome bonuses end up being lost sooner or later anyway. That said, once you start reading the terms and conditions of Big Rock Slots bonus you start to realise you almost might as well not bother. If you win an Amazon voucher and it goes missing in the post, tough.

Deposit Bonus 1 spin on Mega Reel
Bonus Condition 65x wagering requirements on winnings from free spins
Validity Not available
Other promotions Cashback, VIP Program, free pizza

You can only win 8GBP per 10 free spins awarded. There are wagering requirements of 65x (which is huge) on any winnings generated from the bonus and the bonus itself is not something you get to keep, only the winnings.

Big Rock Slots can decide to change the prizes on offer on the Mega Reel whenever they wish without prior notice. And so on. You actually get another spin on the Mega Reel for each additional 20GBP/EUR you deposit but by this stage, you might be thinking: so what?

Other offers on their promo page include free pizza, cashback and there’s also a VIP Reward scheme but given what we said above about the welcome bonus, you won’t be surprised to hear there are plenty of ‘ifs and buts’ regarding anything you might be about to receive when it comes to those, too.

Deposit and Payout at the Casino

VISA, Maestro, PayPal, paysafecard and PaybyMobile are all available for you to use to make withdrawals and deposits at Big Rock Slots online casino: you can choose up to three different methods.

So far so good but there are some issues here as well. The maximum withdrawal has gone up a bit but it’s still not great and any withdrawals under 30GP are charged at 2.50GBP.

Minimum deposit 10 GBP/EUR/USD
Fees Fees may be charged by your payment provider.
Accepted currency GBP/EEUR/USD.
Payout options VISA, Maestro, Paypal, Paysafecard and PaybyMobile

Now to the scandalous bit. A withdrawal can take up to 12 days (!) to be processed and the evidence is that Big Rock Slots make the KYC check as arduous as possible to the extent that some customers might just give up on withdrawing at all and just carry on playing their money until they have lost the lot. Which is probably their intention. If you can’t carry too much of a burden on your shoulders, then you should check out the Prime Slots Casino review, where you can read more about its fast and easy withdrawal methods.

Casinos can’t have it all their own way. They have to accept that some players will win ad others will lose and those who win are perfectly entitled to receive their money without having to jump through so many hoops or wait that long. Or else, it simply isn’t fair.

Security and Regulation

We do not have any reasons to believe that your money or your data are not safe at Big Rock Slots Casino. When you are a huge operation like Jumpman Gaming are, you would be silly to not take these things seriously because it could compromise your business.

Meaning the problem isn’t a lack of protection but rather one of policy where they come up with pretty unreasonable terms and then just hide behind them by saying ‘well, we did tell you. It’s clearly stated in Article X, subsection Y…”

And on that note, we could also question their failure to express the RTP of all of their games. The RTP is what tell you how much each game pays out, allowing players to compare how generous one game is in relation to another. This is at best a violation of their UK licence, at worst a way of running games that aren’t paying out what you’d expect them to and players not having any way of knowing what they should be paying out.

If you have any disputes or complaints about the casino, you can get in touch with eCOGRA. There may just be a few takers of that.

Customer Support

You can get in touch via e-mail or Live Chat between 9.30 and 18:00 Mondays to Fridays. Not massively useful given most customers tend to play in the evening or at weekends. They are also not available on Bank Holidays or Public holidays, which isn’t very helpful. This is similar to most Jumpman sites. Read our 123 Spins review or Slots Amazon review for more info.

They do have a FAQs section but in comparison to that at other casinos, it’s somewhat limited. Some of your general questions will probably be answered but by no means all of them.

Usability of the Online Casino

Simplicity is the name of the game here. Simple site with few sections, with the emphasis being on showcasing their many slots and just letting customers find a couple of other key sections.

Big Rock Slots’ casino site is nice and colourful and it’s certainly not in this regard that they fall short. In comparison to other slots sites, it is above average.

Big Rock Slots App: The Mobile Experience

Their casino is compatible with iOS and android devices but there is no stand-alone Big Rock Slots app for it. That is not a problem in itself as long as they have a decent mobile casino site, which luckily they do.

They offer an instant play (browser) casino, which is preferable because it’s the lightest and most convenient option and means you don’t have to waste any time downloading anything.

Meaning all you need is a PC, Laptop, Smartphone and an internet connection.

Conclusion: Lots of slots but a poor and unfair user experience

After reading this Big Rock Slots casino review, you could be forgiven for thinking there’s a very good casino here with lots of software providers, a big choice of online casino games (especially slots) and that all-important UK licence to operate.

Sadly, that is where the good news ends. They may (mostly) be within their rights to introduce the policies they do but at the end of the day they are just shooting themselves in the foot when it comes to: a slightly meaningless welcome offer, harsh wagering requirements on winnings from bonuses, a low max withdrawal limit a day and overly complicated KYC checks. Moreover, that’s without even mentioning the fact they have limits on daily wins, meaning you can with a Progressive Jackpot and only keep a small portion of the money.

Casinos have to realise that a) Casino players are not stupid and b) want a fair crack of the whip. Playing casino is like placing a bet with your mate and when you win, you expect to be paid out with minimum of fuss. As long as your side is clean and you are allowed to play at the casino site and have the necessary documentation to prove you are who you say you are, which is the case with all the trustworthy online casinos on our list. Until Big Rock Slots realise all this, they will carry on making the same mistakes and not go any further to earning our respect.
