How I Became Interested in Online Casinos

With my father’s business being tangentially dependent on a few of the major casinos in Las Vegas, there was always a connection to gambling in my life. After university, I gravitated back to my hometown and wound-up writing for gambling related websites – mainly about online poker.

It was online poker that really spurred me towards taking a more serious interest in all thing’s casino and during the poker boom of the mid-2000s there was no shortage of opportunities to write about my hobby. Post Black Friday, I began to write freelance copy for European-based outlets and slowly made the move into learning more about online casinos. I became particularly interested in why people signed up for a particular brand – it was not always the size of the bonus.

Checking Out the US Market

There are no examinations to become an expert in online casino comparison. The only way to achieve any kind of expertise is by hard work and research. That is what I think I have achieved over the years and I’m confident I can offer advice on choosing one operator over another.

As you would expect my role here at Scams.info is to specialize in the North American market. It’s still relatively small but as it grows, I should get the chance not only to compare online casinos country-wide but also state by state.
