Today Letou no longer offers its services outside of Asian betting markets. Letou, is run by TGP Ltd, but only offers it’s services to non-uk users. Only time will tell if the Letou sportsbook will seek to break into the UK gambling market once again.

The Letou sportsbook holds a valid UK Gambling Commission license, which is a requirement for any trustworthy site. The license guarantees that a Letou scam isn’t possible when playing at the site. It also means that customers with operators who hold it can take any disputes/complaints to IBAS (Independent Betting Adjudication Service) if they feel hard done by, such as believing they weren’t paid out on a bet they feel they should have won, up to a maximum of 10,000 GBP.

You are always better off going with an Operator who holds the UK gambling licence as some of the ones who do not have been known to be untrustworthy. For the record, they also hold licences to operate in Curacao and the Philippines.

They are perhaps best-known outside the gambling industry for having sponsored Swansea City during the 2017/18 season. Sadly, the Welsh club was relegated from the Premier League that year. As this brand splits its efforts between a Sportsbook and a Casino, we cover both products in our Letou review.

Overview of Our Experiences

Our overall impression of this online gambling site is that it provides a twin-offering of solid, honest, gimmick-free and reliable products that sort of do what they say on the tin. It will appeal to the player who likes both Sports and Casino and likes to have their money in one place at Letou rather than signing up with numerous operators.

Microgaming, their software provider, is always a sign of quality for their vast experience and knowledge of the gaming market and their Sportsbook provides you worth plenty of betting markets covering all the major sports at competitive odds.

Letou ticks a lot of boxes we look out for when assessing whether we recommend a particular Casino/Sportsbook. They start well by holding the most valuable licence, they work with the safe hands that are Microgaming in their Casino and offer a Sportsbook that may not be the most comprehensive out there but offers the average punter all they’d want and need.

Customer Support does a good job but as we will see, there are some areas like payments, bonuses and mobile where they can still improve.

Letou Check: Scam or Not?

The simple fact that they hold the UK Gambling Commission Licence means that Letou is not a scam. They could not hang around for long if they were running a scam site. It’s one thing being granted the license but it is quite another to keep it.

If they were ripping off customers left, right and centre they would have lost to the right to operate under it a long time ago. We have also noticed that there are very few pending complaints about them from unsatisfied customers so that is a good sign as well.

Having said all that, Letou Casino is not completely in the clear. For some reason, their management has decided to enforce a daily winning limit of 50,000 GBP and this is covered by Term 13.4. Terms and conditions outline what a casino is saying they will and will not do so the fact that the term is there means that you, the player, cannot really moan about it when it goes against you.

Why is this so important? The answer is because it means that if you were to nail a Progressive Jackpot while playing casino, your winnings would be limited to that amount.

The frustrating part for players is that it is unnecessary for them to have this limit in place because Jackpots are paid out by the Software Provider, not the Operator, meaning it’s no skin off their (Letou) nose if a player wins a fortune.

So yes, this is still very much a reputable Operator and further proof of that is their partnership with Microgaming and some big payment providers such as VISA and Mastercard. But that withdrawal limit is a bit of a black stain on their name.

Overview of the Offers from Letou

In terms of Casino, there are around 250 games available to play, of which about 220 are slots. Compared to other Casinos, that is not that many but it is enough to say they’ve covered all the major bases.

When it comes to their Sportsbook, it is a similar story. You will not find every single sport under the sun offered here or every obscure league but you will find every major sport offered, both pe-match and in live betting so it’s rare that there’s something you want to bet on where there isn’t a betting market available.

Online Casino

The fact that they have Microgaming, Red Tiger and Multislot on board as casino software providers means there is no shortage of slots whose names you will recognise straight away.

The list includes Thunderstruck, Lara Croft Tomb Raider, Jurassic Park and Ariana. But give Lost Vegas a go. Available to play in two completely separate modes, it features Zombies and survivors in post-Apocalyptic Las Vegas and is a load of fun. The bonus features are pretty eye-catching as well and you won’t regret investing a few coins on it.

However, if it’s life-changing sums of money you want, try your luck on the Jackpots. The infamous Mega Moolah is there, as is Cash Splash and Fruit Fiesta. Remember what we said earlier: even if you strike the gold, there are limits on how much you can actually win so 50,000 GBP is as much as you can bank.

For the more traditional Casino player, there 20 or so table games including blackjack, roulette, baccarat and even something called Mah-jong Exchange. They do not currently offer any live casino games.

Sportsbook

Sports offered at Letou include: football, horseracing, tennis, cricket, golf, basketball and baseball. The more high-profile the competition, the more likely they are to have markets on it and the more markets they’ll offer.

There is also something for fans of slightly more obscure stuff, though. E-Sports, floorball, MMA, surfing, netball and speedway are also available here so you can place your bets on those, as well.

Letou Bonus: Check Out the Offer

If you’re interested to know why you maybe haven’t heard as much about Letou as you have other operators it might be because they’re a little light on their bonuses welcome offers.

Deposit Bonus: Not available
Bonus Condition: N/A
Validity: N/A
Other promotions: Best odds guarantee on all UK/Irish racing

In fact, so light that they do not have one at all the moment. Check our guide to the best online casino sign up bonus to see what is available online You can see why this (lack of promos) limits their appeal in the eyes of the bonus-loving punter, keen to double up on their first-ever deposit (the standard offer with most Casinos and Sportsbooks) so as to be able to try out what the site has to offer without risking too much of their own money.

However, before being too critical, save a thought for the Operator here. Sadly, there are lots of bonus hunters out there keen to grab the biggest bonuses on offer with whatever companies are offering them, trying their luck at meeting the wagering requirements and then just taking the money and running if they manage to do so, never to return.

If the edge is very often with the Sportsbook/Casino, in this case the shoe is very much on the other foot here when ‘bonus abusers’ can take advantage of welcome offers this way so to an extent you can’t really blame the Operator for not providing a welcome offer at all on their bonus page, rare as that may seem.

In fact, Letou rarely offer any promos at all. They do however have a ‘best odds guarantee’ on all UK and Irish horseracing. What that means is that if you have a winner, they will pay out at the biggest possible price that their horse was laid at, rather than the one that the player backed it at. Of course, you need the horse to win for this to be of any relevance but it could make a big difference to your payout.

Deposit and Payout at the Casino/Sportsbook

The following payment methods are equally available for both Sportsbook and Casino: Mastercard, Neteller, Skrill and VISA. That’s actually not a huge amount compared to some of the other Operators out there so they would be well advised to add a couple more just so every player has a method available to them that is right up their street. Paypal, for example.

Payment Options of Letou
Payment Options of the Letou bookmaker.
Deposit options: Mastercard, Neteller, Skrill and VISA
Minimum deposit: 5GBP using cards; 20 GBP using E-Wallets.
Fees: Providers may charge you a fee; Letou won’t.
Accepted currency: GBP, EUR
Payout options: Mastercard, Neteller, Skrill and VISA

On the plus side, you can deposit as little as 5GBP if you are using a card and 20GBP if you’re using an E-Wallet. Deposits tend to be instant or may take just a couple of minutes but withdrawals can take considerably longer, especially if it’s the first time you’re requesting one, because there may be some checks needed, such as you showing proof of address or a copy of your passport/ID card.

Security and Regulation

We’ve already mentioned the licences that Letou holds and some of the things they need to do both to get them and keep them. What we should also mention is that their Casino games use random number generators (RNGs) to run their games, which in turn are regulated by the people who control their licence. The RNGs are what ensure that every spin of the roulette wheel, turn of a card or spin on a slot is random and not ‘doctored’. In other words, to make sure all games are fair.

Letou also encourages responsible gambling and displays large logos that say ‘GambleAware.org’ and ‘GamStop’ across the footer of the page. These Casinos and Sportsbooks are there to be played but in a responsible and controlled manner. Those organizations are there to help people who need that help when it comes to making sure their gambling is done in a sensible and safe way.

Alternatively, you can get in touch with the Letou Customer Support Team (see below) who are trained in Social Responsibility and Responsible Gaming and can assist their players. And speaking of safety, the Letou site is also fully encrypted with 128-bit SSL technology in order to protect player data and funds.

Customer Support

You can get in touch with Customer Support by e-mailing them at support@letou.co.uk or by going to the ‘Contact Us’ section and choosing to speak to an Agent over Live Chat, instead. To speed up the process, they’ve made a form available that you can fill in with your name, phone number, e-mail and of course the actual query. That ensures they have all the necessary information from the start rather than going backwards and forwards trying to work out what the problem actually is before even getting round to solving it.

There’s also a special e-mail address – docs@letou.co.uk – reserved just for uploading the documents you’ll need to verify your account which a discussed above, you’ll need in order to be able to make a withdrawal.

Like many Operators these days, they do not have a telephone number where you can contact the Support Team directly but on occasions, they might call you in order to solve a more complex issue.

As is also the case with plenty of betting companies, they also have a decent FAQs section, which provides a good shortcut in order to having our queries answered without having to get in touch with an agent. You would be surprised as to how many questions you can get answered this way.

Usability of the Online Casino

You’re either going to think this is a website stuck in 2004 or will welcome the unfussy appearance of it where the emphasis is on you being able to do as you wish in quick time rather than being exposed to a gambling-focused work of art. We really like its simple design and low-key colours but you make your own mind up.

This is an all-round uncomplicated sort of Casino and Sportsbook and the design of the site is very much in that mould. You register/sign in at the top right, you choose to go to Sports or Casino just underneath that and then there are a few other tabs at the top taking you to the other key areas such Customer Support and their Affiliates area.

At the bottom there are links taking you to other important sections such as terms and conditions, technical support, responsible gambling and the About Us section.

  • The Casino is divided into Slots, Jackpot slots, Video Poker and Table games and you can use the Search Games box to find a particular one you are after.
  • The Sportsbook is equally easy to use and organised in a similarly logical way. One of the features is being able to choose whether you want to see odds displayed as fractions or decimals.

No Letou App: Mobile Experience

At the moment, they don’t have their own app, but that’s not to say that you can’t play Letou on your smartphone or tablet of choice; you can but you’ll have to do so via the mobile browser. It’s compatible with Mac and Windows. Alternatively, you can of course just play on your laptop or PC. The mobile experience is actually pretty good but it would surely be even better if it had its own app. For a mobile casino with its own app, follow the link.

Conclusion: We like it but there’s room for improvement

Players who like to have two products in one place will enjoy Letou where they can do just about everything they want to. They run a perfectly good online casino and Sportsbook and their license, software providers and other partners mean this is an Operator we can trust, which is of paramount importance.

We like how simple the site is in design and how easy it is to use. Letou will have its fans but there are also areas where it can improve. Most notably by providing some sort of bonus, increasing their number of payment methods, increasing their daily win limit and somewhere in the future adding Live Casino to its offering. As stated earlier in this Letou review, the operator is no longer available in the UK. For other sports betting options, check out our page dedicated to the best betting sites UK players can visit.

All things that are relatively easy to fix and why we think Letou will only get better and better.
