Please note: This online casino cannot be recommended by us at the moment. Please choose an alternative site from our list of the best online casinos.

Established in 2016, Slot Shack is an online casino that is very similar to its sister sites, Lucky Admiral and Rocket Slots. This is one of the newer sites, and although its new, it has experience behind it with its well-established owner company Jumpman Gaming Ltd. This is a company who own many other casinos, with various success. This site is themed around a desert island and offers its users a very bright, fun and sunny experience.

When checking the site out for our Slot Shack review, we wanted to see if this was a site that brought sunshine, or whether the experience left punters all at sea. So, we checked out all areas of this online casino in our Slots Shack review. We looked at the game variety, the providers, as well as the banking and customers. Also, we made sure that it was a trustworthy and above board site that could offer not just a great experience, but a safe one too.

Overview of Our Experiences

On opening the site, we were struck with how attractive it looked, with a very cartoony feel, which looked simple but visually pleasing. The background is of a bright blue sky, palm trees – and a slot shack that’s spilling out golden coins where the sand should be. It was a great concept and we were intrigued to see what treasure we would find in the shack.

Looking at what games they had available, there were over 600 to choose from, which isn’t bad in comparison to some of the other sites. We were also pleased to see a really nice variety of slot games, old and new. There were also some table games to choose from, including various roulette and blackjack games. We also found some bingo and keno games, which were pretty decent. However, it was missing a live casino, which is unfortunate.

Games aside, we then checked out the other aspects of the site, which was pretty standard. However, we did pick up a few areas that we thought could be improved. On the plus side, the site was attractive and easy to use, although we would have liked more game categories for sorting. Then there was the banking, where we found the depositing to be decent, if a little limited but we had some issues with the withdrawals on the site.

Another area that we felt could do with improvement was the customer service, as we found the variety of contact methods unsatisfactory, as was the availability. However, we couldn’t fault the agents when we did contact them. The site was mix of good and could be better. Having said that, it was fully licensed, fully compliant and all above board.

Slot Shack Check: Scam or Not?

It hasn’t been around for long, but is it trustworthy? As a site that was established in 2016, unless you know its background, it’s hard to know if it’s a scam or not. However, it is owned by Jumpman Gaming Ltd who is a well-established casino and bingo operator with other great brands such as Big Thunder Slots casino, which is discussed here.

As such, it has licensed the site with both the UK Gambling Commission and the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, which is where the company is based. It has been verified and certified by two strict governing bodies.

As a result of these licenses, it is safe to play in many countries, including the UK. However, you need to check out your country if outside the UK to see if you are protected. There are various restricted countries that include: Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Croatia, Estonia, Italy, France, Latvia, Lithuania, South Africa, Spain and the US. You should check the site though, because this list isn’t exhaustive.

Another reason we can see that the site isn’t a scam is because of the gaming providers that it is linked with. NetEnt is a notoriously well-respected name in the industry that brings with it a top reputation. As such, if it provides a casino with its products, you can be sure it is a good site. It also has other top providers like Microgaming. Furthermore, this is a PayPal casino and that in itself is yet another sign of credibility. Taking everything into account, it is clear that this is not a Slot Shack scam.

Overview of the Offers from Slot Shack

Although it is a relatively new site, it does benefit from its more well-established sister sites and shares many of the same games. As such, there are in excess of 600 games from some of the best gaming providers in the industry.

This is a site mainly for slot lover, however, there are also a few table games, a handful of bingo games, keno games and more. The lack of live casino was disappointing, but this is a site aimed at slot players… hence the name.

Online Casino

This is a slot site, so as you can imagine, the variety of slots on offer is pretty impressive, and better than many to be found on the market. The games on offer came from providers such as NetEnt, NextGen, Microgaming, iSoftBet, Red Tiger Gaming, 1×2 Gaming, ELK Studios and more.

All in all, there are around 612 games, most of them being slots. There are all the hottest slot games to pick from, including Enchanted Prince, Rainbow Riches: Drops of Gold, Hot Safari and many more. There are great branded slots, such as Jimi Hendrix and Vikings. As well as this, there are 42 jackpot games including Mega Moolah, Jackpotz and Happy Birthday Jackpot.

If you want to try something other than slots, there are a few table games you can play. There are two roulette games – both European roulette tables, and one blackjack game. Other than those, there are none, which is a bit disappointing, as we like to see poker options or baccarat games to play. On the same theme, we also like to see a live casino on offer. However, there wasn’t one to play. If you are looking for alternatives try our page on the best blackjack games, for example.

Having said that, there were also five different bingo games available, with games such as Pay Day Jackpot, where you can win £1,000 and even Free Bingo, where you can win £1.00. They are very cheap and offer a little bit of fun. Overall, the slot selection was great, but we just missed the table games and live casino.

Slot Shack Bonus: Check Out the Offer

Where many other online casino bonuses offer extra money and guaranteed goodies, the Slot Shack bonus is different. The welcome bonus you get depends on the prize you spin on the Mega Reel – and nothing is guaranteed. On registration, you need to deposit a minimum of £10; you can then sin the reel and see what comes up. You can win various prizes from Amazon vouchers up to 500 spins.

However, no matter what you win on the reel, there are obviously T&Cs that you will need to be aware of before signing up. Firstly, should you win free spins, they will be distributed in sets of 50 – you can win up to 10 sets. Also note that if you do win 500, then you will only get the first 50 automatically. To get the rest, you will need to contact customer support. Also the winnings are capped at a maximum of £8 per 10 spins.

Deposit Bonus: Up to 500 free spins
Bonus Condition: 65x wagering requirement
Validity: 7 days
Other Promotions: Newbies Cahsback Boost, Loyalty Scheme, Happy Hour

Also, there are other terms and conditions attached. Firstly, the mega reel is where you get all your deposit promotions prizes. However, apart from the welcome bonus, to claim deposit prizes, you need to deposit a minimum of £20. Also, no prize is guaranteed – spinning the reel, you could end up with nothing. It’s all a matter of luck!

If you do win the free spins, they are for specified games only, so check them out. As well as this, attached to the spin winnings there’s quite a sizeable 65-times wagering requirement, which is quite restrictive. There are more you should check out, so do look at the promotional terms.

On top of this, as a new player, you can claim 31 days of double cashback Other promotions on offer are the VIP Scheme and Trophy Challenges. There are seasonal offers including Happy Hours, Turbo Reel, Daily Cashback and the 200 Club. However, these change at various times, so check out the site regularly to see what’s up.

Deposit and Payout at the Casino

When looking at the banking on the site, it was a tale of two halves really. There are a limited number of banking options to choose from. You can pay with Visa, Maestro, MasterCard, Pay by Mobile, Paysafecard and, on the plus side, it is a PayPal casino.

On the positive side, depositing is generally good. All deposits are immediate, and none come with any fees attached. The minimum deposit stipulated is £10, which is generally the industry standard. There was no maximum mentioned. So, when depositing, it is pretty good – apart from the lack of variety.

Deposit options: Visa, Maestro, MasterCard, Paysafecard, Pay by Mobile, PayPal
Minimum deposit: £10
Fees: None
Accepted currency: GBP
Payout options: Visa, Maestro, MasterCard, Paysafecard, Pay by Mobile, PayPal

However, our main issues were with the withdrawals. The methods were the same as the depositing. Obviously, you need to verify your account before withdrawing. The site actually states that there will be a 72 hour pending period and after that you should get money into your account within 1-3 days. When using eWallets and PayPal, it is quick; however, when using other methods, it can sometimes take a little longer.

Also, there are limitations. In general, there is a £10 minimum withdrawal. If you want to withdraw less, you need to contact customer service. However, if you withdraw under £30, there is a £2.50 fee attached, which was not impressive. Furthermore, there is a maximum withdrawal of £5,000 a week, which is pretty low compared to some others. All in all, the depositing was fine, but the withdrawing was a little disappointing.

Security and Regulation

One of the most important areas of the site is the security and regulation. Slot Shack is licensed by two gambling commission- the Alderney Gambling Control Commission and also the UK Gambling Commission. Both of these commissions are perceived as very strict, hence ensuring that the site is fully regulated. As well as this, the site uses top GoDaddy verification on top of the best available SSL encryption. The Slot Shack site ensures that your details are protected at all times.

Another point to note is that the games on the site have also been tested and verified by the top auditor eCOGRA. The site looks at all the games at regular intervals to ensure that the Random Number Generator is in top working order and that the RTPs stated on the site are true and factual.

As well as this, there are several Trust logos attached to the site with regards to Responsible Gambling. It promotes GamStop and Gamble Aware to help punters who have an issue with problem gambling. The site also allows users to self-exclude, take breaks, set time and deposit limits.

Customer Support

An area that we felt was a little disappointing was the Customer Service, which is far too limited for us. In terms of contacting the agents, you can either send them an email or use the live chat. However, live chat is only available to those registered and logged in. If you want to find out anything, or have issues logging in, the email is your only option. This can be frustrating if you want a quick answer.

If you are logged in and choose live chat, then in general, you should be answered in minutes – depending on the time of day. Otherwise, you can email them at support@slotshack.co.uk, as they claim that you should receive a reply in under a day.

Whether you contact live chat or email, the agents are very good. However, they are only available between the hours of 9.30am and 6pm on weekdays. This we found to be very disappointing as people often play outside these hours.

There is an FAQ service which is quite good, if you do need and answer to general queries outside this time. You can then get answers to queries about banking – withdrawals and depositing; bonuses, support, account management and other areas. It is a comprehensive service that is concise and to the point.

Usability of the Online Casino

When playing on the site, we found it be pretty decent in terms of usability. Obviously, there was the attractiveness of the site, which made it easy on the eye. It was also easy to use. We like the number of bold and bright banners that took you straight to the promotions.

We found registration simple and quick – taking a matter of minutes to create the account and deposit the money. To the top left of the site you could also access Promotions, All Games and Trophies. Then, further down you can see the thumbnails of the most popular games on the site.

To check out the selection of games available, hit the ‘All Games’ tab. The games are then grouped into the following categories: Hot Slots, My Faves, Newest, Jackpots and Bingo. Beside this, you have the chance to sort the games from A-Z and you can utilise the search function if you need a specific game.

We did like the ‘My Faves’ section, however, we were surprised there was no separate grouping for Table Games, although as there were just a few, they probably didn’t feel it was needed. If you want roulette or blackjack, just use ‘search’.

We were a little surprised of the lack of visibility of the help. Generally, we feel it’s good practice to have help easily visible and accessible. However, to get to the ‘Contact Us’, we had to scroll to the end of the site and find it tucked away at the bottom, next to: Responsible Gaming, FAQs, Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy etc. Overall, it was an attractive site, pretty easy to navigate and offered a good experience.

Slot Shack App: Many Different Slots

Many of the best mobile casinos offer top of the range casino apps. As it’s a pretty new site, we were hoping this would be one of those sites. However, when searching on iPhone and Android we could find no Slot Shack app. This was disappointing. However, we then opened it on our phone browsers to see how it performed – and it was good on both Android and iOS.

The mobile site offers the same experience as the desktop site. You can access the three main areas from the corner menu icon. You can then access the games in the same way as on the desktop site. You can play on the slots, jackpots, bingo and table games, just as on the main site.

There are a very similar number of games, with around 600 games on offer in total. In general, the mobile site offers very much the same experience as on the desktop – from the games to the banking, registration and customer service. Overall, the mobile site was a good representation of the desktop site and offered a very similar experience. However, we would have liked to see an app on offer.

Conclusion: A Vibrant Online Casino with its Own Software

In our Slot Shack review, we found the site to be a good experience in general, although there were areas we would like to see improved. The positives were: the number of slot games available; the number of providers to choose from; great jackpot games; an attractive site; good depositing and a well regulated, licensed and trustworthy.

On the other hand, there was a lack of table games and live casino; the withdrawals were limited and had fees, also the customer service was limited. Taking all of this into account, it was a safe and secure, attractive and fun experience. When we compare to other secure online casinos in the industry, it’s worth an acceptable 3,0 out of 5,0.
